1) Got my car insurance dealt with! Yay! So now I have my policy canceling as of the 15th of June, and my Ohio policy picking up the same day, and ID cards being sent, and I'm saving $120/month between the two. Damn. Now that makes me happy.

2) Working on my paper. David's taking the kids tonight so I have extra writing time tonight and tomorrow, and he's got the kids this weekend too. Either way, first draft is due on Monday, so packing et. al. can commence thereafter, as that's the worst of it right there. Revisions will still need to be done, but that's a much easier process.

3) Pondering getting back on South Beach again. My bp is up and I need to do something about it, and that would definitely help. Given my level of broke right now, though, I'm not sure it's managable. On the other hand, I have a canker sore from stress and sugar makes it worse, so now's a great time to cut that from my diet. Hmm.

4) Took a big bag of books to Half Price today. Got almost $10 for them, if one rounds up somewhat severly. No matter. Still fewer books in my house and more change in my pocket (and thus more gas in my tank. Go me. I'm trying to be severe with myself in my book purging, as I know I will end up looking at all these books and thinking, "Am I sure I really need all these boxes of books? Really?" And everyone who helps me move will be thinking the same thing. That said, I think I'm nearing the end of my purge.

5) Have an appointment to get my brakes/tires/car checked for the trip next Thursday. I need to go get my emissions thing first as I have to get new registration before I go (I know, it's crazy) and then again a few months from now. If I don't meet emissions for some reason, I'd rather tell them when the car is already scheduled for the shop than have to go back.

6) On track to get the street permits for the moving trailer next week. Thats more money than I want to think about, but I'll make it work.

7) I have an appointment to see an apartment the week after I arrive in Cleveland. I really like what I've seen of it, and the management company has a great record with the BBB. It's a whisker high for my ideal price range but not over my max, and the location is good. We shall see.

8) I just finished filing my Q1 state taxes this year and owe nothing, which is what I'd hoped. One more thing off the list. Go me.

As you can plainly see from this list, I rock. :) Now back to the paper.

not quite accurate.

Yes you rock, but how do you rock? I would propose that you rock the house, you rock the outhouse, and you rock the Caspah. However that would be subject to interpretation. Perhaps you should get further input from your children and your lucky, lucky BF?

Good luck and all with the moving. I know how stressful that can be, and with your long journey I'm sure there is a lot more to consider. Again, good luck and I hope to see you more in the future.

I'd love to see a link to the apartment if there is one online. You know how I love online apartment shopping.

Also, total agree on the books. Moving them is tough and one finds that one does not really need them or read them. Exceptions to this (for me at least) are cook books and art reference books. Aside from that, a lot can be had from a local library. (oh, and gaming books. Jason has taught me that those should never be gotten rid of)

I'd say 60% of my current books are either comp copies, from past employers, or game books I bought. 30% are books are the staples of my library, and either they're useful for my major or I do reread them for fun or both. The last 10% are cookbooks or other reference books that I'd just end up rebuying them or something.
