So. Spent the last week on campus the better part of each day having more information thrown at me than I know what to do with. Graduate Student Senate, Access Services, English Department, Writing Resource Center, etc. It was pretty overwhelming. I am thoroughly pleased with where I've ended up, though. I like the school, I like the place, I like the people. I've started making friends and getting a good line on who the faculty are, including the merest inkling of who my eventual advisor for my specialty might be. I've seen my office and I'm getting a key soonish. I've started to plot and plan things like coffee makers and parking and book buying and the like. I have a week to finish some writing I really need to do and all my homework and whatnot, and I need to finish setting out my schedule for next week. Whew.

All in all, I'm a bit behind time for where I'd like to be, but I'm not in a bad position. Tomorrow I'll make more progress and things will get done, including more general updating and commentary and the like. Till then, this will have to do.
