...for David (
twinfalcon for those who might be wondering), as he went and turned in all his lease paperwork today for his new apartment. He should hear back at the beginning of next week, and be moving in this coming Friday. There isn't a lot that needs moving, as he's going to try to get new stuff for his place by and large and leave most of the furniture here for me and the kids.
In other news, I jumped ahead in my reading schedule and dived into the new Harry Potter book. In doing so, I found myself wishing I'd had the previous one at hand, as I feel like I missed a number of things that I didn't really remember. I only got to read it once, and then in something of a rush. Most of the things I'd disliked about the previous book were missing from this one, though, so that made me happy. I did enjoy it, and I found it overall to be pretty satisfying. Oh, and she can have the new one ready any day now. Really. Sigh.
I also cleaned my bathroom to within an inch of its life. It is now uber sparkly. I'm even washing the rugs for the floor. It is, granted, the only room in my house like that at the moment, but everything has to start somewhere. Washing up the new sheets I bought for my bed, pulling David's clothes out from my closet so that he can pack them... lots to do, but it feels good to do it. Like something's finally being resolved.
I also have to get ready for company, as I have a college friend who's coming into town for a few days during the first week of August and he'll be staying at my place for a couple of nights. Recent IM exchanges between us have been intriguing. We were never the least bit romantically involved back in school, but... well, it's not impossible to envision such a thing happening in the future. At the very least, a little bit of flirting ought to do me a world of good. Should be fun.
