T-Day: 9-1-05

That will be the day the tonsils come out, finally. I have new, better drugs, and hopefully will have a short recovery time. As it is, this is the second day in a row I've had to fight off falling asleep at my desk in mid-afternoon, simply because I'm not getting enough rest and/or oxygen. It sucks.

Happy thoughts, phonecalls, and emails are appreciated. :)

Dan had his tonsils out (among other things for sleep apnea treatment) in May. They told him horror stories about how much it would hurt and how long it would be before he could eat regular food, but he really wanted to get it taken care of so he went ahead with it.

He had the surgery on a Tuesday. On Wednesday he was eating chicken noodle soup. By Thursday he was eating pizza with me. Okay, admittedly he only had two slices to his usual four, but still--pizza two days after tonsil surgery! He also said that, while it did hurt, it didn't hurt nearly as much as they led him to believe it would.

Here's hoping that you have the same speedy return to normal routine.

Bah! I heard 'em! Those tonsils were talking bad about you behind your back. The things they said! They made Ada blush, and that's hard to do!
