Will was going to be a musketeer, but was entranced when he went into Target and saw a ready-made costume for the Thing from Fantastic Four, complete with sewn in rocky muscles. He really identifies with The Thing, so this was like unto the holy grail for him. So, since it was on sale and I hadn't started on his yet, I bought it. Alisdair's is mostly finished. He's Anakin from Episode III. I lack the cloak, but I have the undershirt, tunic and shoulder armor done. It looks sharp. The only problem is that the armor tends to fall off his shoulders because he is Stick Boy, but it's nothing a little velcro can't fix. The cloak is this weekend, and honestly, the pattern is so cool that I'm considering buying the adult pattern and making one for me out of something nice. Damn. I think on its own it wouldn't necessarily scream "Jedi," either, not without the whole ensemble.

All in all, trick or treating is go. Woo hoo. :)

That's what I get for not seeing Episode III yet.

Stone has let his hair grow all year, and now it's down past his shoulders, in a style that looks almost exactly like Ep3 Anakin.

Hee. :) You'd be amazed how many little Sith lords and Jedi younglings there were running around the kiddos' grade school on Friday at their Fall Festival. It was all "unsheath that lightsaber or go hide under yer momma's skirts" all up and down the halls. The grownups made an effort to keep the decapitation to a minimum, though, especially where the very height-chellenged Vaders were concerned.

Challenged, rather. I really hate not being able to edit comments. Bah.
