So I called the local Coldwater Creek store, and they have the dress in stock. The shop lady there is holding the sizes I'm interested in until I get there this evening to try them on. Plus, they have a special of $25 of every $100! Bonus. :)
Second, I love my new car. It is green. I think its name is Esmerelda, Ezzy for short. My children want to name it something else, and that's fine, but it's still Ezzy to me. Normally I don't name my cars. I'm not sure why I'm naming this one (the kids named the Hamster, so that doesn't count). I guess maybe because it's all mine, and it's the first time since high school that this has been true.
Third, my car has a CD AND a tape player! While I don't feel impelled to rush out and by cassettes, the lack of said player in my old car has been a big reason I don't buy music. When the only thing you have to listen to it on is your computer, and your computer chair isn't that comfy and the speakers aren't that good, it tends to be discouraging. But now I have a CD player in my car, so while I was at Target, I bought a new CD for the first time in ages. It's the soundtrack to A Charlie Brown Christmas, performed by the Vince Garibaldi Trio. Now, I'm not huge into nostalgia, but in my head, it's Schroeder playing all that music. There are songs on there I didn't even remember, but in the first few notes I'm there walking through the Christmas Tree lot looking for something that doesn't "ping" when you tap it. And I defy anyone to drive around in their nice new car listing to "Linus and Lucy" (the da-da-da, da-da-da, dah-da Peanuts song) and not be in a good mood. It's just not possible.
I am very happy.
