Since mercuryeric commented that a rant on fashion without pics is useless, (*grin*) I've provided the best pic I could find of the offending item. Needless to say, the fringe was not the only issue with the outfits worn by that pair, but it was the most.... active.

Perhaps the skaters have watched the Olympics commercials a bit much, as they seem to have been inspired: "Do the hustle! *disco flute*"
