The Intartubes Are Alive Again!
Oct. 22nd, 2007 12:20 pmOr something like that.
The issue is fixed. All is well. I can surf from home once again and need not fret over my hour of access per day as rationed by the library.
Yesterday went quite well. I knitted quite a bit, realized I'd gotten off track somehow, tore it all out, and started anew. I also did laundry and dishes and made beef stew. I didn't have a recipe at hand, so I made a sort of odd amalgam between what I remembered of my mom's old recipe and one I'd started making last year. Given that I have neither a slow-cooker nor a dutch oven, this was a study in resourcefulness -- something I didn't fully appreciate until I was already in the midst of it. It is done, though, and pretty tasty too. I am well pleased.
I did not actually watch Chinatown last night, but must instead do it this evening, I think. Last night I choose rather to review my Nero Wolfe, Season One DVDs. I hadn't watched them in ages, but I think that was rather silly on my part. They're just as good if not better than I remember them. It's a crying shame A&E's gone to airing complete crap on a regular basis.
EDIT: And the A&E site has the second season on clearance! OMG! I think I must order it. Holy smokes.
