South Beach, day 2

Mid-morning snack: chunk of hard cheese -- parmesan? Not sure.
Lunch: Remainder of crab salad, with lettuce, avocado, and cherry tomatoes. 1 triangle light original Laughing Cow Swiss cheese
Afternoon snack: 1 roma tomato, 3 tbsp hummus. Unsweetened, uncreamed chai tea (bleh)
Supper: romaine, fennel, cherry tomato, fresh mozzeralla salad w/ rosemary ham and olive oil & vinegar and herb dressing. Water with lemon.
Dessert: Plain yogurt with vanilla extract, cinnamon, and agave nectar
Things I Have Learned
1) Woke up this morning feeling good, actually. Surprisingly so after yesterday. I was expecting to feel crappy for at least two more days, so that was a pleasant surprise.
2) I'd never poached an egg before. I have to say it was probably only half successful, given the amount of egg white still floating in the water. That being said, I liked it far better than the eggs from yesterday. Someone once suggested to me that I might have a mild reaction to egg whites. Given how much I prefer the yolks and that reducing the amount of white eaten makes me feel a lot less icky, maybe that's right. Either way, I seem to have found a preferred method of eating eggs. Go me.
3) Yesterday the crab salad made me feel better. Today it made me feel worse. I started off the day feeling pretty good, but then after having the sugar and sorbitol in the fake crab has brought back my headache. Guess there's no more fake crab for me. Bah.
4) Went out to a local pizza place with friends tonight and had the salad described above. got a big one, ate half, and will be using the other half for lunch tomorrow at work. Had a single bite of friend's pizza -- it tasted good, but my headache came back again. Nothing like negative reinforcement to keep you honest.
