So, today is Phase 2. I get to start adding whole-grain carbs and fruit back in slowly, along with certain other enjoyable things (like wine). I had brunch out at Crave this morning with Misty, and this is what we did.

Breakfast: 2 poached eggs with hollandaise, proscuitto, 1/2 piece of sourdough bread (no, that's not what I ordered. I ordered oat-hazelnut bread, but sometimes you have to roll with it). 1/2 pear, 1/2 apple, 1 slice of orange, 1 chai with milk, and water.

Morning snack: nope. Don't have to now unless I need it.

Lunch: 2 slices turkey, 1 laughing cow cheese wedge, 3 triscuits

Afternoon snack: 7 slices cucumber, 3 tbsp hummus, 1 small glass white wine

Dinner: Crustless broccoli and onion quiche

Dessert: Plain yogurt w/agave nectar, per normal. Though I may have to start looking into alternate desserts at some point in here. :) -- oh, broke down and added 4 raspberries.

Thoughts
1) I wish I liked cooking more than I do. That would make this all a lot easier. Next item on the burner: braised chicken in coconut milk. We shall see.
2) Man, fruit is sweet. Most of the time, even. Had my baseline gotten out of whack or what?

"Man, fruit is sweet." I KNOW!! And yes, I think we had gotten that out of whack.

I suppose honey is right out, yes? I can't find it on the list...

Honey is right out, hence the omnipresence of agave nectar on these posts. It functions like honey but has a low glycemic index score.
